Paid to Read E-Mail sites Part One

Published by thegrrlgeek at 9:42 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

It was difficult to think of a topic that would cover my first set of website reviews.  In today’s world, there are no less than five hundred thousand separate websites out there but probably like more over a million different websites.  But than I was thinking about what is going on in today’s economy.  And how many people are looking for different ways to supplement their incomes; to try and earn just a little extra money.  And one way that people are going are paid to read e-mail companies.

Before I even move into reviewing each of the companies, it does help to have an understanding as to what paid to read (ptr) e-mail sites are.  Basically, these sites tout that not only will they pay you to read e-mails that they send you but many also offer some kind of sign up bonus.  It all depends on the company.  Some people believe that these companies are paying them to read any e-mail that comes into their e-mail boxes but this is not the case.  These companies have specific e-mails that they wish for you to read and they will send them to you.   Sometimes you receive two or three e-mails a day and sometimes you may only receive one e-mail a week.  The fees that you are paid for reading these e-mails is minimal.  While it does vary from site to site, my experience is that you do not usually earn more than $0.02 an e-mail that you read and $0.01 for anyone in your downline.

So how exactly do you make money with reading e-mail than?  Well, you do not become rich and you do not get paid every month.  Not unless you have an unbelievable downline.  If you do, than you may just get paid every month.  But otherwise it could take anywhere from a few months to reach your payout to a few years.  Every company is different.

One final note.  If you are considering signing up for paid to read e-mail, there are some safety steps that you’ll need to take.

(1) Sign up for a free e-mail account with one of the free sites like Yahoo!, Gmail! or Hotmail/Livemail.  If you already have one of these accounts, you’ll want to sign up for a new one.  Truth is, you are more likely to get spam mail by signing up with these services and who wants all that spam in their personal e-mail.

(2) Make sure that the e-mail address that you’re signing up for is NOT the main e-mail address with your paypal account.  You can add additional e-mail addresses to your paypal account.  I strongly suggest this.  Paypal will only send account e-mails to your primary e-mail so you not only are protecting yourself from giving out your primary e-mail account but you’ll be even more likely to notice those phishing e-mails that people send out.

In my next piece, we’ll start taking a look at different paid to read e-mail sites, what they offer and if they are worth your time.
